Referral
If you are aged between 18 and 65 and have a mental health need, then your doctor,
or staff from the local Community Mental Health Team can refer you to a centre.
If you wish you could come in and talk to one of our staff, all of whom are trained
in the field of mental health. If you'd like more information about being referred
to a Beacon Day Support centre please contact us and we will endeavour to help where
possible.

The Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health has recently been awarded a grant
of £999,432 from the Big Lottery’s Live & Learn Programme to run the Beacon
Members’ Initiative. This Initiative will improve the life skills, confidence and
independence of individuals who are disadvantaged because of their mental health
needs.
The project, which will be run in Beacon’s 14 Beacon Day Support centres across
Northern Ireland, will work in partnership with a number of educational partners
to run training courses and volunteering schemes that will give people with mental
illness the opportunity to develop essential skills, gain qualifications, and achieve
their full potential.
